Ačkoliv zdejší Němci představovali pouhou 1% menšinu, dostávalo se jim značné podpory v oblasti sociální, hospodářské i kulturní. Zvláštní pozornost byla věnována německému školství. Stranou nezůstaly ani tenze mezi Čechy a Němci. Autor upozornil na největší problém nacistické národnostní politiky v Protektorátu: na absenci relevantních kritérií oddělujících Němce od Čechů. K Němcům se zde totiž hlásila řada "renegátů", kteří se dosud považovali za Čechy. Takoví lidé často neuměli ani německy. To nakonec vedlo k zavedení rasových testů pro nové žadatele o německou státní příslušnost. Proněmecká politika se v oblasti téměř "čistě české" minula účinkem. eng	Nazi Nationalities Policy in the Pardubice Region (1939?1945)	The article deals with the pro-German policy in the Pardubice region during the period of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. Although the local Germans accounted for only 1% minority, they received considerable support in the social, economic and cultural matters. A special attentnion was paid to the German educational system in the region. The article also focuses on tensions between local Czechs and Germans. The author drew attention to the biggest problém of the Nazi nationalities policy in the Protectorate: the absence of relevant criteria for separating the Germans from the Czechs. Nationality of many applicants was doubtful: For example, some of them could not speak German. This eventually led to the introduction of racial tests for new applicants for German citizenship.
