Kapitola pojednává v duchu teorie aktérské sítě o komplexních vztazích mezi sociálními a nesociálními prvky v těžení oblasti Severních Čech z důrazem na situaci v Litvínově vzhledem k vývoji místního pracovního trhu a průmyslu. V širším historickém kontextu je ukázáno, že se zde ustavil socio-technický systém, který prokázal svou stabilitu navzdory změnám politických režimů a změnám populačního složení. V posledních dekádách se však tento systém dostal do imbalance, protože povrchová těžba v obydlené oblasti začala dosahovat vládou stanovených ekologických limitů z roku 1991. O další pokračování těžby či o její zastavení bojují nejrůznější aktéři, těžaři, dělníci, obyvatelé a nevládní organizace. Propad pracovního trhu v souběhu s privatizací bytového fondu ve městě vedl k migracím. Do lokality se začaly stěhovat socio-ekonomicky hůře situovaní aktéři z jiných lokalit. Kontroverze posledních let vznikající na rovině materiálních vztahů se promítá do sociálního řádu v podobě mezi-etnického napětí. V kapitole je analyzováno, jak jsou sociální vazby propleteny s materiálními podmínkami a je následně navrhováno, že sociální problémy by mohly být řešeny prostřednictvím přeuspořádání materiálních prvků socio-technické sítě. nelidští aktéři; teorie sítí-aktérů; socio-technické sítě; těžební průmysl; inter-etnické násilí; politika věcí
eng Buildings, Work and the Coal in Litvínov: Actor-Netwok Explorations. This chapter is based on actor-network theory for the purpose of picturing complex relationships between social and non-social actors (actants) in the mining area of the north-west Bohemia with emphasis to Litvínov town and its industry. Wider historical context proofs, that socio-technical system, once been established, is stabile despite of the changes and transitions of the political regimes and despite of the population change. After the decades of mining expansion the mining industry in the inhabited landscape has touched its limit, and this system become imbalanced. Because of so called ecological limits which were set by the government in the year 1991 and caused by the resistance of inhabitants of endangered towns and villages supported by the ecological movement and NGO´s. An actual controversy is mediated through the question: to mine or live (how some human actors put it). This constitutive controversy is mediated to the social segments in the form of inter-ethnic tensions. Lack of jobs in labor market changed whole social atmosphere. I instead, argue that “pure” social processes as “ethnic conflicts” which took place there in locality Litvínov-Janov in the year 2008 are not purely social. Just on the contrary, they are assembled around material intermediaries and technological mediators.
