cze Bohrovo pojetí biologie - k padesátému výročí úmrtí Nielse Bohra Niels Bohr v roce 1927 představil ideu komplementarity jako nový filosofický rámec poznání přírody, který umožňoval komplexní porozumění a popis subatomárního dění na základě dvou neslučitelných pojetí, vlnového a korpuskulárního. Rámec komplementarity se posléze pokusil aplikovat i mimo oblast kvantové teorie, zejména do biologie. Bohr ukázal, že pro popis fenoménu živého nestačí pouze mechanistický přístup či pouze přístup vitalistický, nýbrž přístup komplementární, jenž doplní jednostranný mechanistický přístup s přístupem k živému v jeho manifestující se sebeorganizaci a komplexnosti, včetně interakcí s okolím a s tím, kdo jej zkoumá. eng Bohr´s conception of Biology - In Honour of The fiftieth anniversary of the death of Niels Bohr. Niels Bohr introduced the idea of complementarity in 1927 as a new frame for the cognition of nature enabling complex understanding and description of subatomic course of events on the basis of two incompatible notions: wave and corpuscular. He then attempted to apply the frame of complementarity also beyond the scope of quantum theory, especially in biology. Bohr showed that for the description of phenomenon of the living mechanistic approach or merely vitalistic approach is not enough, but complementary approach is required which supplements single-sided mechanistic approach with the approach to the living in its manifesting self-organization and complexity, including the interaction with the environment and the one who is analyzing.
