Zavedla ho hlavně na šlechtickou akademii do Turína, do papežského Říma, na akademii ve francouzském Angers, do Paříže a ke dvoru do Bruselu. Na základě výzkumu skoro 160 dopisů z rodinného archivu Verdugů přináší nejen itinerář a základní informace o průběhu cesty, ale obsahuje zejména analýzu tří odlišných pohledů na kavalírskou cestu. Ukazuje, jak odlišně vnímali putování matka, samotný kavalír a jeho hofmistr. Ačkoliv všichni prožívali cestu jinak, měli společný cíl – mladý Verdugo se měl „kvalifikovat“, tj. získat takové schopnosti, vědomosti a způsoby chování, aby se mohl uplatnit po návratu domů u dvora a ve stavovské společnosti zemí habsburské monarchie. Cesta k této „kvalifikaci“ byla ale složitá a vznikala v neustálé výměně názorů mezi všemi zúčastněnými stranami.	Kavalírské cesty; Verdugo; česká barokní šlechta
eng	Three Views of the Grand Tour of Franz Julius Count Verdugo (1681-1683)	The paper deals with the Grand Tour of Franz Julius count Verdugo (1681-1683) that led him mainly to the Accademia Reale in Turin, to papal Rome, to the noble academy in French town Angers, to Paris and to the stadholder´s court to Brussels. Based on the research of nearly 160 letters from the family archive of the Verdugos the article brings first of all the tour´s itinerary and basic information about the course of the tour. Then the author tries to analyse three different points of view at this Grand Tour and shows how Verdugo´s mother, his hofmeister and he himself perceived this long journey in a different way. Young Verdugo should "qualify" himself to apply for the court and land offices in the future. However, it was a long and complicated process to gain such a qualification and it was marked with a permanent discussions and sometimes also conflicts among them.
