V 18. a první polovině 19. století dochází k dynamickým proměnám českého venkova. Tyto změny se projevily rovněž v rodinných vztazích. Kolem roku 1700 se vytvořily příhodné podmínky pro usazení rodin. Tento proces vedl ke vzniku rodového majetku, který se začal předávat z generace na generaci, což podporovalo majetkovou kontinuitu. eng	Family and its property interests. Transformations of the conception of family interests in the czech rural society in the 18th and in the first half of the 19th centuries.	While in the second half of the 17th century, farmers still frequently moved from one place to another, from the beginning of the 18th century families gradually started to settle down in one place, family property thus becoming more stable. In the 18th century, farmers tried to build up family property, so that it could be subsequently handed over from generation to generation. Even in a critical situation, when they were not able to pass the farm over to their offspring, a sentimental attachment to one’s family as well as respect for parental assets made them seek their successor within the extended family, so that the landholding would not end up „in the hands of a stranger“.
