"Otec moderní Indie" a "hinduističtí tradicionalisté"	Ačkoliv je Rámmóhan Ráj často představován jako reformátor hinduismu, je řada dobrých argumentů pro to, že ve skutečnosti byl v zásadě unitářem a křesťanem. Tak se to jeví, pokud vezmeme v úvahu jeho teologické pozice a účast v disputacích o povaze Krista, kterému ve svém učení vyhradil zvláštní statut; jeho interpretace Védánty (v mnohém ignoroval tradiční komentátory a navíc re-definoval sanskrtské pojmy v západním duchu); jeho boj proti tzv. modlářství; a v neposlední řadě dlouholetou splupráci s britskými unitáři.

'Father of Modern India' and 'Hindu Traditionalists'	Although Rammohan Roy is often depicted as Reformer of Hinduism, there are good arguments for understanding him better as Unitarian - Christian: following his theological disputations, interpretation of Vedanta that coins sanskrit terms with Western meanings and ignors traditional exegesis, his attribution of special position to Christ, attacking "idolatry" , and after all his long-termed cooperation with British Unitarians.
