eng	The story of pantomime	The book from the history of European culture, gives an overview of the history of the nonverbal, that means motional or mimic theater, since the ancient beginnings through the medieval folk theater until nowadays. In the depiction of the history of twentieth-century theater book exclusively dealt just with development of mimic theater (from silent film to pantomimes), particular attention id paid to the history and personalities of Czechoslovak pantomime Fialka, Sládek, Hybner, Turba and Polivka. Author prefers the searching for new forms, permanent theater reform, especially in the field of genres variety and crossing the borders.
