Instrumentální rozum proniká mnohými kulturami a spolupůsobí při krizi kultur; krize se týká i samotné vědy, která ji způsobila. Věda se ukazuje jako zvláštní forma racionality, která vychází původně z antického Řecka. Překročila jeho prostor a stala se globální silou, která vystavuje kultury novým úkolům naučit se žít s touto racionalitou. Tento úkol je pro mnohé kultury otázkou další existence. eng	Science and the Crisis of Culture	Scientific approach is characteristic for modern man. It means that he is capable of knowing about diverse value systems and, above al, that this knowledge itself presupposes a new structure of reality. People are brought up in a new universality of science that always offers its manipulative scopes for problem solving. This means not only new tasks for scientists, but also a new appeal for education. Man has to recognize his own situation as a challenge to take on explicit responsibility for his own home and language.	Philosophy, Culture, Education
