Článek se zabývá líčením bitvy z roku 1040 v pařížském latinském rukopise ze 14. století, který vyšel v roce 2006 v Praze. Obrazy v tomto fragmentu však nepředstavují realistické krajiny. To znamená, že na nich není vyobrazena reálná Šumava, ale region, odpovídající uměleckému vyobrazení z doby po roce 1300. V příspěvku jde o rozšíření našeho povědomí a německo-českých vztazích středověku.
eng	The Battle in Wald bei Furth in the Forest	The Battle of 1040 which is well-known part of the Czech history is the topic of a number of texts in the Chamer Reports. The present paper includes the description of the Battle of 1040 as it can be found in Latin Paris manuscript from the 14th century that was published in Prague in 2006. The pictures in this fragment do not show any real landscapes. Therefore, the Bohemian Forest is not presented in a realistic way; on the contrary the depiction corresponds with the conventions of the artistic presentation after 1300.
