eng	Comparison of Selected Surnames in the Towns Rostock and Erfurt	The submitted thesis makes a contribution to the statistic summary and the analysis of German surnames in two limited research areas. It not only summarizes the statistic data, but also compares the selected German surnames in the approximately same German cities Rostock and Erfurt. A part of the submitted thesis is the semiotic cogitations on surnames in general.
