Description:
The project aims to establish an international team of scholars in order to carry out research into recent representations of the consolatory and beneficial influence of the natural world on human beings. The project is expected to highlight a selected aspect of contemporary perceptions of the natural world and lead to a topical publication that will contribute to the debate about the roles that nature plays today in the lives of individuals and communities. A panel at an international conference will be organised at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, followed by a post-panel working meeting, and, subsequently, a workshop at the partner institution, the University of Pardubice in Czechia. During the conference panel and the workshop, the project participants will present and discuss the results of their research. The participants will be expected to contribute articles for a joint publication. In the final stage of the project, a book proposal will be prepared and submitted in order to disseminate the research results.
