The project is focused on skills development of undergraduates in studies of history of arts, architecture and regional / local literary history in form of study trips, visiting places related to significant personalities of culture, as well as their lives and works. The goal of the project is to raise students? awareness concerning the genius loci in the context of particular authors, works of arts and architecture in the related historical periods. The selected sites of the study trips aim at understanding fine arts and literary culture in the relation of center and periphery ? primarily representing the regional dimensions of modernity in the East-Bohemian countryside. Specific sites are associated with authors who had outstanding role in promoting modern forms of arts and literature. Each study trip will be based on students? presentations, prepared prior to the trips, focusing on the relevant aspects of the particular places and the related authors and literary works.
