The aim of the project is to study the ethnical background of social processes related to the reign of the first indigenous Bolivian president Evo Morales. The project focuses on a political emancipation of indigenous movements and their impact on local policy issues. It also analyzes framework of a national and indigenous identity as well as concentrates on urban indigenous identity and symbols expressing it. In terms of a socio-anthropological perspective the project assesses social consequences of reforms coming from Morales policy. Research results will be presented in Czech and international conferences, published in Czech and foreign scientific journals. The research outputs will represent three particular studies and one extensive monography giving a complex socio-anthropological analysis of the issue, published in Czech and Spanish language.
