The Master study following the general outlook gained on the Bachelor level aims at more thorough knowledge of the selected philosophical problems and more thorough interpretative abilities. The courses concentrate on concrete problems and works in which the intellectual and structural background of modern society and sciences are set. In this context, the students will become able to master further knowledge and deepen the analytical reflection of the basic tendencies of the present (especially in connection with politics, with the moral and law framework of the present, with science and culture).

Traditionally, the graduates from the philosophical disciplines are one of the most successful in the job market. This is connected with the fact that the study of philosophy leads the student not only to the analytical work with texts and arguments, but also more generally to systematic thinking and to the analysis of the grounds of society and culture, including its development potentials. The graduates gain the ability to analyse very abstract texts (in foreign languages as well), to abstract knowledge from them and to work with them synthetically in relation to the concrete problems of the present. The graduates are supposed to find employment in those parts of society that concern the management and passing values especially in politics and social developments.

Since the society develops unprecedently and the contemporary trends announce new situations that will require basic orientation, philosophy appears as a dynamic discipline - it prepares the students to practically deal with them, in the framework of the developed culture of modern societies in which philosophy never lost its position.

The graduates are supposed to find employment especially in the domain of education and culture, at the universities and both governmental and non-governmental organisations dealing with extensive social-law problematic.  The most gifted students can continue in the doctoral study program. Afterwards, they can find employment in the editorial teams of the newspapers, magazines, e-journals, in science, politics, in the state offices, in education, whether in its theoretical or practical part, simply everywhere where work with a text, spoken or written, is involved. By encouraging and cultivating critical and independent thinking and by conserving the awareness of the backgrounds of the open law and democratic society, the subject-area helps significantly to its development and preservation.
